PEOPLE!!! WAKE UP!!!Have we actually sunk to the point that we no longer care what happens in our government? If it weren't appalling enough to be so apathetic to the legitimacy of Obama's birth certificate now we can add this to the mix.
Is the appointment of Hillary Constitutional?
This country should be making a HUGE fuss over these issues regardless of which side you are on. If the Obama team has nothing to hide concerning his citizenship then simply show us the proof, and make us shut up once and for all. Come on Obama supporters...demand they produce the documents and then you can legitimately flaunt it in our faces. Sign the petetion!
As for Hillary...has NO ONE in government ever taken a class on the Constitution? Just remember that I've been saying Obama intends to either change or simply ignore the Constitution. So go ahead...keep quiet, do nothing and let our rights erode away until its too late. Interceding for our Children....Father, Your Word says that "when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth" (John 16:13). I pray that Your Spirit of truth will guide C1, C2 and C3 into all truth. May they never be a person who gives place to lies, but rather a person of integrity who follows hard after the Spirit of truth.
"Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart, and so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man." Proverbs 3:3-4 Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside My Window...are brilliant blue skies
I am thinking...about how I don't want the holidays to come this year. I am having this battle with mself. I went through this 2 CHRISTmases ago. And for the very same reason. Deployment. Yes. It looms over us once again. With each day we count down to the celebration of our Lord's birth, we get one day closer to D-Day (Deployment Day). To be conflicted at this time of year is so difficult. We are surrounded by thoughts of family, home, togetherness, and peace. None of which rings true to our family at this moment.
So we FOCUS.
We focus on what we always focus on...HIM!
Jesus
HE is the reason...
for everything.
I am thankful for...daughters with driving permits...daughters who add peppermint sprinkles to mochas...daughters who request ALL my recipes...husbands who sit up front with daughters with driving permits
From the learning rooms...progressing SLOWLY through Sonlight 300 history but doing well with literature. Driver's Ed has begun...parent led so not the official stuff yet. Need to take Marine Bio stuff to the beach with us so it feels a little more credit worthy. *L*
From the kitchen...you can read my Menu plans here
I am wearing...shorts and tank top
I am creating...organization from my digital photo chaos...slowly but surely
I am going...to the North Shore and the Swap Meet this week
I am praying...
I am hearing...quiet
Around the house...I got a bunch of things done this weekend (organized pantries, laundry area, lanais, outside storage closet, brought out CHRISTmas stuff from the shed) but still want to organize the linen closet and begin decorating.
One of my favorite things...is having the time to sit and gather my thoughts and plan out my week. It is a blessing to be able to do this so that I can aim for the things the Lord would have me do.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...

Menu Planning MondayI've found myself with a few quiet moments alone at home so thought I would get my weekly planning done.
Great Harvest Bread Co recently opened nearby so I plan to stop by there and pick up some bread for the week. I also need to get some fresh fruit and veggies so hopefully will hit the farmers market or Down to Earth on Tuesday when we go to the beach for Turtle Duty. Here are some things I am planning to cook this week.
S - Pork Chops, Potato Pancakes, Applesauce
M - Miso Soup, Noodles, Salad - I thought this would be a great dinner for nights when it's just the two of us. We recently found Hikari's Minute Miso so I am going to give it a try. Usually we have to buy a huge container of miso and we don't use it fast enough. I plan to add tofu, green onions and a beaten egg to the soup. (The egg thickens the soup and my MIL taught me to use it so I do! *L*)
T - Sweet and Sour Cranberry Stir Fry This should be fast enough to make even after spending all day with the turtles.
W - Crab Legs - Again, another meal for just the two of us.
T - Burgers, Oven Fries - I don't love burgers (Bug does!) but we have some organic beef patties in the freezer so.....
Looks like I need to swing by Organizing Junkie and get some more ideas! Wednesday's Hero - Harris and Harris
H/T to You Served
A father and son on Friday will each receive the Army’s fourth-highest award in a ceremony at Fort Campbell.
Chief Warrant Officer 2 Jonathan Harris, a Blackhawk pilot with 5th Battalion, 101st Aviation Regiment, will receive his Silver Star in Afghanistan for actions performed July 2, 2008, a news release states.
His father, Gary Harris, of Corbin, Ky., will receive the Silver Star for gallantry in action in the Republic of Vietnam Aug. 15, 1969 while serving with 4th Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division, according to the release.
The senior Harris originally received his Silver Star in 1969 without a ceremony. The two ceremonies will be linked via a video teleconference between Bagram, Afghanistan and Fort Campbell, the release states.
Gary Harris is credited with saving the lives of fellow soldiers during an intense firefight with Vietnamese insurgents in 1969. His son is credited with saving his crew chief’s life during an intense firefight in Afghanistan earlier this year. Jonathan Harris was also injured by shrapnel during the incident.
